Like many of you, I wanted my home to be a place of comfort and joy. But here’s the thing – I’m pretty particular when it comes to scents and how they make me feel.

One day, while wandering the aisles of Target, I found a candle that I absolutely loved. It became my go-to until, just weeks later, I noticed it burned way faster than expected. To make matters worse, I couldn’t find any more on the shelf! That’s when I thought, Why not make my own candles? I could create something that not only lasted longer but had the perfect scent tailored just for me.

Armed with a few quick purchases and hours of deep-dive research (I tend to go down rabbit holes and come out knowing everything about random things), I gathered the supplies to make my first batch of candles. What followed was a mix of excitement and lessons learned through trial and error—who knew wicks and waxes could be so finicky?

As I experimented and learned more, I discovered a passion I didn’t know I had. Ideas started flowing faster than I could keep up, and each new creation brought joy and satisfaction. The best part? I could do it all from home, surrounded by family and friends, with a movie playing in the background.

The name The Swayze, Co. is actually very close to my heart—it comes from my maiden name, Swayze. It feels like the perfect tribute to my roots and the journey that led me here. Starting this business has been an incredible adventure, and I’m truly grateful to share these creations with the people I love and beyond.
